Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What is Spring Street Books?

Spring Street Books.org hopes to make the Williams Community a better place by helping students find and sell used textbooks on campus, assisting the search for cheap books on the internet, and donating all profits back to the community.

2. How is Spring Street Books able to donate every time I buy a book from Amazon or Ebay?

Every time a student buys a book from either of those two sellers, they give a small percentage of the purchase price back. We then turn around and give it right back to the community.

3. What do you mean "to the community?" Sounds Suspicious...

Well we were thinking of donating the total to the 1914 library, but we are open to suggestions. Shoot an email to community@springstreetbooks.org with any ideas!

4. Is this the final version of the site?

Nope. This is a first draft of all of the basic functionality. Hopefully, over the next several months we will be able get a bit of feedback and keep making it better and better. Right now, to-dos include: making the method for listing and displaying student books more comprehensive and detailed, having students log in with their unix in order to list a book, and a better/easier/faster way to sort through the hundreds of classes offered at Williams.

5. What is your relation to the College and/or Water Street Books?

Spring Street Books has no official connection to the college or Water Street Books.
